Last night I was fortunate enough to see a senak peek of this movie. I really think that Seth Rogen is hysterical and I remembered James Franco from the Spiderman movies. With another writing credit to his name, Rogen, along with co-writers, Evan Goldberg and Judd Apatow, did not disappoint. This film was non-stop hilarity.
In the classic tradition of Dazed and Confused, Dude, Where’s My Car? and Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, the plot of this movie is a twisted and sometimes difficult to follow adventure. Rosie Perez, who was much less annoying in this movie than most she is in, and Gary Cole play clueless, but hysterical villains. Perez is a dirty cop who is working with Cole’s character, Ted, who is a drug lord. The evil duo want to silence Rogen’s character, Dale, who witnessed them kill someone. Franco’s character, Saul, is the perpetually stoned drug dealer to Dale. Saul is brought into the mix because Dale threw a roach containing the pineapple express marijuana that he alone was selling out the window of his car when he saw the murder. Confused yet?!? There is also a rival drug dealing Asian gang, a bumbling pair of enforcers looking to catch Dale and Saul, a nursing home bound grandma, a high school girlfriend, and an over the top macho drug dealing middle man!
Yep it is a stoner flick! This movie, for all its not so important but quite convoluted plot, is destined to be a classic of this genre. I would definitely recommend seeing it in the theater for some fun hi-jinks and sidesplitting hilarity. If you are looking for serious or deep meaning, this is not it!

I loved this movie… It’s not what you would expect at all. Hilarious but what made it different from other Seth films were the crazy fight scenes!!!
