The Disney musical is back for a sequel in High School Musical 2 and this time schools out. It starts off with the kids in their last day of school before summer break. When the bell rings, the students exit to enjoy a summer job. Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), the high school basketball captain and the most popular guy in school, is in love with Gabriella Montez. Before the opening scene is 
complete, Troy gives Gabriella a necklace with a “T” on it. This is just the beginning of the adventures of the 3 months of summer fun for the cast of High School Musical 2.
Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) hates the fact that Troy is with Gabriella and wants to break them up. She attempts to do this by keeping Troy away from Gabriella all summer by getting him a job at her families country club, Lava Springs. This plan quickly backfires as Zac convinces the club manager into hiring Gabriella and her best friend Taylor McKessie (Monique Coleman). He also convinces him to hire Troy’s best friend Chad Danforth (Corbin Bleu).
Sharpay is so upset with this that she demands that her father fire the group. Mr. Evans states that he cannot do that because Sharpay?s mother was the one that approved the hiring of them. However, Sharpay does convince him to give them jobs that will make them want to quit. Along with her brother, Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel), they do their part also to tear the group apart. When Mr. Evans exerts his “authority” on the other kids, Zac agrees to help them out in the kitchen. Gabriella ends up as a lifeguard. This too adds strain to their relationship. As the story progresses, Sharpay’s tactics do also, attempting to split the couple apart so that she can have Troy all to herself.
Sharpay’s family can make it an easy life for troy. They decide to show him how easy. Entering the picture is the local college basketball team, the Red Hawks. Troy decides to ditch his friends to hang out with the Red Hawks. In doing so he leaves his best friend Chad out in the cold making him feel unwanted.
After Troy has finally lost all of his friends for being such a jerk, Sharpay has convinced him to sing with her in the local talent contest. When he discovers what she has done, he attempts to make amends with his friends and ask for his old job back. In the end, it is Sharpay who is left all alone. The cast of High School Musical 2 end the movie walking out on the beach to watch the fireworks.

this isnt as good as the first one and i dont think the third one will be either. il keep a look out however.
