Sure summer is over, the days will be getting shorter and the nights colder, but one thing that I love about fall, other than college football, is fall movies. They are usually smarter, longer and more likely to be remembered than any of the summer films that have come and gone. However, I feel the this past summer will be one that is remembered as one of the best cinema seasons in a long time, there wasIron Man, The Dark Knight, The Incredible Hulk, Hancock, Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express, Get Smart, Hellboy II, and the return of Indiana Jones. Granted not all of these were perfect films, but I was glad to see them and they left an impression on me. The fall will likely have fewer films that I will see but the ones viewed will leave a larger footprint no doubt.

Righteous Kill: DeNiro and Pacino are teaming again, a la “Heat”, in what looks to be this years crime drama hit.
Burn After Reading: The Coen Brothers look to chrun out another hit after last years amazing No Country For Old Men.
Body of Lies : One of my favorite director/actor duos (Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe) look to have another actioner in the upcoming film that looks like a winner.
Max Payne: Let’s hope that Marky Mark can break the curse of video game film in the adaptation of this game to screen, looks like they have added some mythology Constantine Style.
