So…what is your favorite John Wayne film?  I just posted a review of The Sons of Katie Elder, which should make it pretty clear that that's NOT my favorite John Wayne Film.  I think I would have to go with his very last film, The Shootist, in which a dying John Wayne plays a dying gunfighter opposite a fesh-faces Ron Howard.    Powerful stuff.


Anyone else?

Big fan of The Searchers! Though I'm not a big fan of the Duke (not my style, more of a Clint Eastwood guy myself) the movie was entertaining and had a nice wierd ending.
